What COVID precautions are you taking?

During our shoot, I will wear a mask and stay 6 feet away guiding you through poses and movements using verbal cues. Additionally, I always have hand sanitizer in my camera bag so we can replenish whenever needed. In my free time, I follow all current CDC recommendations for COVID-19.

What if I’m awkward behind the camera?

No worries, and I promise you’re not alone! I will be there every step of the way helping direct you through poses and building your trust and comfort in front of the camera.

How long does it take before I get my photos back?

You will get all of your edited photos back within two weeks of your shoot. However, I’m a big fan of sending sneak peeks a few days after the shoot! If you need your photos back earlier than two weeks (for example, to send graduation announcements in time), we can work out a plan together.

What should I do about my outfits, hair, and makeup?

Above everything else, the best photos will be the ones you felt the most confident and beautiful in. You don’t want to look back on a picture and remember the itchiness of your dress or the way it shifted awkwardly. I’d rather you remember all the fun we were having celebrating you! So I recommend 2-3 outfits that really bring out your glow. Regarding hair and makeup, a lot of my seniors pamper themselves and look to professionals to glam them up before a senior session. I will have some hair and makeup stylist recommendations soon! I would recommend focusing on comfort and what makes you feel your best.

Can I change multiple times at the same location or does each location have one outfit?

You can change as many times as you’d like at each location. I leave a bedsheet in my car that can act as a dressing room if there are no other options to change on location.

Do I get to pick the location or do you?

This is your shoot, so you’re the boss! However, I know some people don’t have any set place in mind, so I will give lots of suggestions if needed.

When’s the best time of day to shoot?

The best times to shoot are at sunrise (and around two hours thereafter) and 1.5-2 hours before sunset. This is when the sun isn’t so high in the sky and the light won’t be so harsh. If you want to check when the sun rises or sets on a certain day, search on Google "Month Day 2021 sunset/sunset times Austin, TX". However, if we can’t book you during those ideal times, no worries! I have lots of tips and tricks to getting the best photos no matter what the lighting situation is.

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate during our shoot?

I will monitor the weather very closely before our shoot. If 24 hours before the weather still doesn’t look promising or if we’re rained out in the middle of the shoot, we will reschedule at no charge to you.

Do you offer complimentary consultations before I decide to book?

I would love to get to know you and your vision for your shoot! Contact me via my contact page, and we can set up a 15-30 minute free consultation via Zoom or FaceTime to make sure we’re the perfect fit.

What is your editing style?

I love a simple yet elegant, natural look. This is why I only shoot using natural light! I love to edit my photos bright and airy while staying true to colors. I want your photos to be timeless - no one wants to look back on these and think, “That look was sooooo 2021…”

Can I bring props?

YES! Flowers, balloons, flags, school signs, etc. are all welcome and a great way to spice up your photos. I provide rainbow colored, sparkly confetti!
